Curriculum
Art
Through arts and crafts children develop their fine motor skills as well as their imagination, independence and self-expression. They will learn how to translate their visualization though colors and textures. They will use various arts and craft materials to create unique and individual projects.
Outdoor Play
Fresh air and outdoor play are very important in child development. When children play outdoors, they increase their ability to balance, jump, climb, throw, run and skip. Our outdoor space has a lot of different toys and games to help your child develop their physical skills.
Cooking Class
Cooking is a great and fun experience which offers a wealth of learning and development opportunities. Once a week we will have cooking class, using specialist equipment for small hands. This ensures the children can be independent at their own cooking station. Our cooking activities are a sensory experience, often involving all five senses, which makes it a more memorable and truly engaging experience. Children will also learn about food, where it comes from and what is healthy and unhealthy. Children will develop their skills around good food choices.
Music and Dancing
Music ignites all areas of child development and skills for school readiness, including intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. It helps the body and the mind work together. Dancing to music helps children build motor skills while allowing them to practice self-expression. It also helps develop coordination and helps in physical growth and development. Through our weekly music and dance lessons, children will learn rhythm and basic movement.
Imaginative Play
Imaginative play is essential in child’s development. When children role-play and act out difference pretend and make-believe scenarios and experiences they learn and develop a lot of important social skills, decision making and sharing. Through dress up and pretend play children will learn every day skills such as dressing themselves and setting the table.
